Re: Netflix
Sven, if I have nothing novel or noteworthy to say about West Ham, I won't post a thread at all. A lesson for many WHO users in there, I don't know why you want me to post a thread just for the sake of it. That's the problem with this site.

"Ah I know what is going on. There are two users called Gank on the site. One who constantly moans about the non west ham topics in a really tedious way, and the other who contributes comments to some non west ham threads. Given the moaning of the first gank, there is no way that the one who does contribute to those non west ham threads can POSSIBLY be the same person. Right?"

I think the phrase is do as I say, not as I do? :)

Anyway, can anyone direct me to a decent documentary (on Netflix or elsewhere), about East Ham pie shops?

There we go, nailed it!

Re: Netflix
Sven i think Gank might be channeling Boris Johnson, same old bluster and blather, regardless of any question or request directed his way......

The invitation to post a West Ham opinion as a thread remains.
When was your last?

Re: Netflix
That's two of you comparing this website with friendship. That's fucking tragic and when this site folds I'll smile knowing how sad you'll be, and how you'll miss talking to people you don't really know about crisps and box sets just because they happen to support West Ham

Re: Netflix
It’s not just ‘news’ it’s opinions about West Ham related matters.

When was the last time Gank posted anything like that as a thread?
Expressed an opinion .... put himself out there to be called a cunt ....

I see WHO like going to the football with your MATES. You talk about the game, you slag off the manager .... and you talk about other things.

Re: Netflix
The forum, like real life is a place where people with a common interest will discuss that interest, as well as other things happening in the world, as perhaps you would do in real life with your mates.

Or would you have separate sets of friends for each subject, never the twain to meet?

Re: Netflix
That was meant for Capitol Man.

Bungo, I'm not in charge, you would know if your thread was in any way relevant to West Ham or not. It just seems that if anyone, including users of this site, have an idea to put something online they tend to think about whether the thread is appropriate for the site first, or perhaps would be better off on Facebook. On here though, it's not the case. There's about anything from paedophiles to free gift blenders and as it's a dedicated West Ham website it makes you wonder why people have these thoughts and think, "I know where I'll post this..."

That's exactly what it is. Social media for people who don't like Facebook or Twitter etc.

Log in once a week to hear that Noble is shit or that we are too slow in midfield.

Then what is the point of it? Social media?

Re: Netflix
gank 8:04 Wed Jul 1

Well thank you for the extensive list of what it's not for.

I'm sure in future we will all carefully consider which West Ham related threads are not football related.

NB Exactly how close to East Ham does the pie shop have to be located to be considered West Ham related?

Capitol Man 10:04 Wed Jul 1
Re: Netflix
Get rid of the "other" threads and this place would die in about a week. There's just not the volume of football posts of worth to sustain it.

Re: Netflix
Why is it my responsibility? It's this attitude that everyone has to post something that leads to such drivel populating the board. If nobody H's anything of West Ham relevance to post, then the board should remain quiet - it's not a reason to post up nonsense.

Believe me, if I had West Ham news that wasn't already on here, I'd choose this site to post it. I wouldn't post it on irrelevant sites like IMDB and I wouldn't kill the time waiting for this news to appear by using this site like the TV Times as many do, or as Tinder without the happy ending as Darlo Debs does.

Users of this site seem to think as they've registered on here they're not allowed to use other websites so they just post all their inane thoughts up on here, a West Ham website.

Sven Roeder 9:39 Wed Jul 1
Re: Netflix
All this is easily fixed
Gank should post multiple West Ham United threads on all the West Ham items worth discussing
When WAS the last time Gank posted a thread?

Or appeared on one of blueeyedhandjobman’s threads discussing West Ham youth?

Mace66 8:25 Wed Jul 1
Re: Netflix
Try posting a load of West Ham threads about Ngakia or Chelsea match predictions on AVforums and see how well that goes down.

Haha love it

Capitol Man 8:22 Wed Jul 1
Re: Netflix
The football threads all get a bit depressing when we are playing like this. I'm normally too pissed off to post after the games.

Netflix - works like any tv channel did in the past. They will have people managing their catalog and negotiating rights.

geoffpikey 8:19 Wed Jul 1
Re: Netflix
The problem with this place is most posters start FOOTBALL threads in Off-Topic * thus making true off-topics (such as Netflix jabber) impossible to ignore.

You have to go there for Football. Alan''s newspaper thread is the only thing that is reliably posted in the Football Forum!!

So, I have some sympathy with gank... but WHO is now beyond broken. (If only the politics threads had their own NUTHOUSE FORUM.)

* Given our state, West Ham discussion probably doesn't deserve to be in Football though....

Re: Netflix
You're puzzled by a West Ham Website having threads about Netflix?

This is a West Ham Website with three fora; one is a Ticket Forum - obviously for buying and selling tickets. One is a Football Forum, so there's your area for football-specific threads about West Ham or other football topics relevant to us. Finally, there's an off-topic forum for West Ham stuff that is neither football or tickets. Like that fucking West Ham boat thread from Gavros, stuff about the stadium or owners, or fans or even perhaps East Ham pie shops.

But not fucking Netflix, or Donald Trump, or Brexit. There are a many more websites dedicated to stuff like that than there are websites dedicated to West Ham, why do people insist on polluting one with the other and this is especially weird that it seems to be a one-way street. Try posting a load of West Ham threads about Ngakia or Chelsea match predictions on AVforums and see how well that goes down.

Bungo 7:52 Wed Jul 1
Re: Netflix
Gank

I'm still puzzled by what you regard the off-topic forum for if it should be for West Ham related threads which aren't about football?

What sort of threads would qualify?
